Kennedy Space Center Tickets
The Orlando area receives hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. What with attractions like Disney World, Epcot Center, and Sea World, the typical family can stay busy for days. But let’s not forget the Kennedy Space Center to make a vacation complete. The Kennedy Space Center is just a short distance from Orlando. Seeing the place where so much history has been made as NASA’s launch headquarters is just as exciting and entertaining as any theme park. Kennedy Space Center allows you to see and talk to real astronauts, view huge rockets, and even witness actual launches, not to mention give you a chance to train inside a real space flight simulator.

There are a wide variety of tours, programs, and other activities that your Kennedy Space Center visit lets you experience.

Kennedy Space Center offers a chance to take it all in. An included bus tour takes you to areas like the International Space Station Center, the Apollo/Saturn Center where you can see things you’ve only read about, and the LC 39 Observation Gantry.

The Kennedy Space Center has IMAX theaters, each complete with a huge wall of sound, five story screens, and amazingly realistic special effects in 3-D. You can see film shot in outer space by NASA astronauts during their real missions. With the help of the 3-D imagery, you’ll think you are right there with them.

Additional Kennedy Space Center allows you to take part in special guided tours and hands on simulator experience.

Take part in the shuttle launch experience tour. This exciting tour starts in the Shuttle Launch Simulation Facility. This huge structure was made to look like the real facilities used for the Space Shuttle at Kennedy Space Center. As you go up through the framework surrounding the Space Shuttle replica, actual astronauts talk about their personal experiences in order to prepare you for the next part of this special tour.

Once inside the replica, you will receive a pre-launch briefing, just as the crew would. The Commander walks you through the entire shuttle launch sequence. To top it off, you will be shown videos to make you feel what is like right before a launch.

Special Interest Tours
Kennedy Space Center can be experienced even more intimately through their special interest tours.

1. The Today and Tomorrow Tour – This special tour of the Kennedy Space Center includes a stop at the closest spot accessible to the Space Shuttle Launch Pad in the space center’s industrial area. A perfect photo opportunity.

While you are at the Kennedy Space Center industrial area, you can see the Shuttle Landing Facility, the huge building where vehicles used in space are assembled.

2. Cape Canaveral Tour – The Cape Canaveral Tour takes you to the original launch sites used in the early days when the Kennedy Space Center was known as Cape Canaveral. These sites were used for many famous launchings during the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs. You’ll even get a tour of the complex from which Alan Shepard blasted off on the first manned space flight, plus the site of the Apollo 1 fire.

At the Kennedy Space Center you have the opportunity to see one of the most exciting things imaginable and that is a live launch. By keeping an eye on the Space Shuttle launch schedule and planning, see the Space Shuttle itself launch or rockets taking satellites into outer space. Because the Kennedy Space Center is the busiest launch facility in the country, you can be assured there will be plenty of chances to see these amazing events.
