Overview:

Welcome Aboard the Red & White Fleet
Founded in 1892, the family-owned Red and White Fleet is legendary for its breathtaking San Francisco Cruises. The 90-min SF Explorer Cruise is an amazing way to discover San Francisco, while sailing a route that promises spectacular views!

The SF Explorer Cruise is San Francisco's only cruise that allows guests to explore these amazing parts of San Francisco Bay. The Architecture narration aboard the SF Explorer Cruise is available in English, Espanola, Deutsch and Japanese. Personal headphones will allow you to choose or switch between three exceptional audio tours:

Natural History
Explore the natural history of San Francisco Bay from the marine creatures that live beneath us to the compelling human stories of conservation pioneers, like Ansel Adams and John Muir. Learn how San Francisco Bay's unusual geologic and weather conditions have produced a unique ecosystem. Scan the horizon for California Sea Lions, Bay Porpoise, Sevengill Cowsharks, Brown Pelicans, and other creatures of the Bay. Discover how native and non-native plants, animals (like the Parrots of Telegraph Hill) and people co-exist together and create the diverse environment we call home.

Architecture
Enjoy San Francisco's must-see architectural experience and discover how natural disasters, politics and the people of the Bay Area have changed this incredible landscape. You will witness the construction of the new Eastern Span of the Bay Bridge, learn how the renaissance of San Francisco's Ferry Building and the building of San Francisco Giants Ball Park revitalized an entire area of town, and discover how San Francisco Bay's world famous bridges, islands, and skyline architecture like Coit Tower and the Transamerica Building, were born from madness, vision, passion and perseverance.

Native American Culture
Step into another time as you relive history of local Native American tribes like the Ohlone and the Miwok. Imagine those who first sailed these majestic waters in Tule Canoes, walked these rugged lands, and honored the sacred beauty of this region. Experience the culture, history, and sounds of San Francisco Bay as you travel in a sacred time following the story of a Native American family from the past. Discover how landmarks like Yerba Buena Island and Alcatraz Island have played a part in the rich history of local tribes. Learn of efforts being made by Native American descendants and their supporters to preserve the languages, cultures and history of their people.

Red and White Fleet's vessels are equipped with snack bars, offering non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, snacks, and light luncheons for sale. You may also bring your own food. Get your eTicket today and sail into history on the SF Explorer Cruise!
