Segway Tours of Atlanta

City Segway Tours offers you the complete experience:
a great orientation, informative historical and current-day information, heaps of unique and fascinating stories, fantastic photo ops, superb personal service from your guide and an opportunity to ride the coolest machine in the world - the Segway.

What is a Segway?
A Segway is:

bullet Easy to use and operate, the two-wheeled Segway sports high-tech gyroscopes that automatically respond to your body's movements, "sensing" when it should speed up and slow down.
bullet You stand on a small platform between left and right wheels as you hold onto handlebars at a comfortable waist height. The Segway handles the balancing for you, so that you're always upright as you glide through any environment.
bullet Designed to operate in any pedestrian environment. It's new, it's cool, safe and easy to use plus a ton of fun! The perfect way to see the 'Capitol of the South'!

Overview:

City Segway Tours of Atlanta is the perfect tour for both those new to the city and Atlanta veterans. For the beginners, this tour will offer you a fantastic orientation and give you an opportunity to see virtually all of the sites you've read about. For the veterans, you'll learn new facts and stories about Atlanta that you've never heard. And you'll both agree that riding a Segway is the best way to see the 'Capitol of the South'.

Highlights of the tour include:

bullet Underground Atlanta - This is the historical center of the City of Atlanta. From the beginnings of the railroad a bustling new community emerged at the crossroads, a town which would come to bear the names Terminus, Thrasherville, Marthasville, and finally, Atlanta. Today Underground Atlanta offers unique shopping, dining, history and entertainment.
bullet Georgia State Capitol - Atlanta is the capitol of Georgia. The capitol sits prominently in downtown Atlanta and has one of the most recognized landmarks in the city, the 23 karat gold dome.
bullet Sweet Auburn District - Concentrated along a short mile and a half of Auburn Avenue, the Sweet Auburn Historic District reflects the history, heritage and achievements of Atlanta's African Americans.
bullet Centennial Olympic Park - It is hard to believe that in 1993 the area around Centennial Olympic Park was a dilapidated section of the city. Today it is one of the fastest growing areas of the city and is bordered by many of the city's attractions.
bullet Georgia Aquarium - The world's largest aquarium sits at the heart of the city and Centennial Olympic Park. With over 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water and 100,000 animals representing 500 species from around the globe - it is not to be missed.
bullet The CNN Center - CNN's world headquarters sits in Atlanta. CNN is the world's largest news gathering organization and relies heavily on their global team of almost 4,000 news professionals.
bullet World of Coke - The history of the world's most famous and popular soft drink can be traced to Atlanta.
bullet Ebenezer Baptist Church - Auburn's most famous church and the home church to Martin Luther King Jr.
bullet Martin Luther King Jr. Center Established in 1968 by Coretta Scott King, The King Center is the official, living memorial dedicated to the advancement of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., leader of America's greatest nonviolent movement for justice, equality and peace.
