Riding a Segway is relatively easy to learn. Each of the tours begins with a 30-40 minute training session. You will practice on the Segways until everyone feels comfortable and ready to tour San Francisco!

Requirements and recommendations- The Sausalito Segway Tour has only a few restrictions. They are:
 

bullet Ages 12 and up, guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. (If you are concerned about mobility issues please call Customer Service to discuss. They want every rider to have a safe tour.)
bullet Riders must be over 100 pounds and less than 275 pounds.(46-113 Kilos)
bullet Riders must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. Rider must be able to operate the steering control with his or her left hand.
bullet Wear the helmet and safety vest that is provided with the tour.
bullet Sign a liability waiver.
bullet Dress comfortable and in layers. Recommended: Comfortable closed toe flat shoes. No high heels, flip flops or sandals. Bring an extra layer of warm, wind resistant clothing. Gloves are recommended during the winter months. With the chilly wind, wet fog and damp environment along the waterfront shorts and a t-shirt are not a good idea.
bullet Please leave bulky backpacks at home.

Segway Tour of Sausalito

Operating Times:
April through Oct: Daily at 11:30 am.
Nov through March: Wed, Sat and at 11:30 am.
Closed Christmas and New Years Day.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time to have adequate time to check in and start your tour and training on schedule. If you arrive late they will NOT let you join a tour group that has already started training.

Booth Location: 1000 Bridgeway. Sausalito, CA 94965. Segway Tours depart in front of Taste of Rome. Two blocks north of the Sausalito Ferry Terminal.

Nearest Intersection: Bridgeway and Caledonia Street

Age Requirements: All riders be at least 12 years of age and weigh 100 lbs. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.

Notes: Tours are limited to nine riders. Tour reservations are required. **PLEASE NOTE** Dates often sell out quickly 48-72 hours in advance. Please make your reservations at least 7 days in advance of desired tour date. Chances are it may sell out. Tour must be booked at least 72 hours in advance of your travel date. E-Tickets are fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled 3 days -72 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour. No shows are charged in full. Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled tour time to check in and start training.

The San Francisco and Sausalito Electric Tour Company assumes no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of the road and other conditions beyond control, in addition to insufficient numbers of guests.
