You'll

their attractions plus the skydeck at the John Hancock Tower.
The Grand Tour is glorious combination
of the North Side Tour and the South Shore Tour, offering visitors a
taste of everything Chicago is famous for.
North Side Tour - This is the tour for those looking to
experience the vitality and
excitement of Chicago! You'll go through Chicago's main business
section, one of the financial centers of the world that is always
bustling with activity. You'll tour the famous "Loop" and State Street
- the great street where Chicago's fame began.
Travel by the striking Richard J. Daley Plaza with its acknowledged
masterpiece, the Pablo Picasso sculpture, created specifically for
Chicago. You will take a ride on Wacker Drive, the double-decked
thoroughfare that winds its way under the city. Also journey over the
Chicago River, which is made to flow backwards by one of the world's
greatest engineering feats.
On this tour you'll see the famous white Wrigley Building that
announces the beginning of the Magnificent Mile, and Michigan Avenue
where Chicago's most exclusive stores exhibit their wares. You'll see
Chicago's elegant seven-level shopping complex, the renowned Water
Tower Place, alongside one of the tallest buildings in the world, the
John Hancock Center.
You will also travel through Lincoln Park, a thousand acres of
greenery, lagoons, flowers, and zoo. You'll see Wrigley Field - the
home of the Cubs (visits not on game days,) the Botanical Gardens,
Chicago Historical Society, Newberry Reference Library, and an Indian
Totem Pole.
South Shore Tour -
Here is a tour full of interest, history, and beauty! You'll travel
through Grant Park, the front lawn of the city and site of Soldier
Field, Adler Planetarium with its sky dome, and the Joseph Petrillo
outdoor band-shell where the people listen to fine music throughout
the summer nights.
Also on your journey is the Art Institute of Chicago, world-renowned
for the largest collection of impressionistic art, Orchestra Hall,
home of the famous Chicago Symphony, and Shedd Aquarium, the world's
largest aquarium. You'll stop by the Field Museum of Natural History,
which is famous for the size and scope of its collections. And looking
over from these sights you'll see the 80-story Amoco Oil Building,
completely faced in white granite.
Afterwards, you will travel through the South Commons, a new
"close-in" residential community. The tour will go through beautiful
Jackson Park, where the Colombian Exposition of 1893 was held to
celebrate the founding of America 400 years earlier. Following this
you'll pass through the University of Chicago, with its elegant
English style architecture, as well as pass the Museum of Science and
Industry, a tribute to Man's ingenuity and inventiveness.
You'll see the world's highest apartment building, Lake Point Towers,
which is an architecturally stunning building of glass and curves
adjacent to Navy Pier, Chicago's inland port.
And finally you will visit the John Hancock Tower where you will see
an entertaining, fast paced multi-image show featuring a photo gallery
of Chicago attractions. Then you will take a non-stop ride to the
Skydeck observatory - 1,353 feet above street level and higher than
any other rooftop in the world. It takes the world's fastest elevators
just 39 seconds to take visitors to the 94th floor to The Hancock
Observatory. There you will see a
panoramic view of Chicago, it's famous skyline, the magnificent
shoreline of Lake Michigan and on a clear day you can see up to 80
miles away and view four states - Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and
Wisconsin.
