During your 3 hour Capitol Hill Culinary Experience, you will enjoy a series of dishes from restaurants and shops nestled in quaint row houses, clustered down barracks row, and located inside the district's longest running market. Enjoy a variety of food that follows the culinary history of this diverse Washington DC neighborhood.
On this Food Tour, your host will walk your group at a leisurely pace throughout Capitol Hill, detailing stories on the history of the area and its residents. You will meander through the neighborhood that John Philip Sousa and J. Edgar Hoover called home. See where Roberta Flack started her career.
Seating and special service will be provided at each restaurant throughout the tour. Enough food is served that most participants will not need dinner after the tour. All dishes are served sitting down, so you can enjoy the ambiance of each restaurant while trying their specialties, and hearing their stories.
It is recommended you eat a light brunch before the tour rather than lunch. The dishes you will try resemble small meals rather than traditional tastings and are included in the tour.
After finishing this tour, you will be able to truly appreciate Capitol Hill's heritage, history, and local food. So make your reservations, get your eTickets and take a culinary adventure on the Capitol Hill Culinary Experience Food Tour. Very Tasty!
