What
is a Segway? A Segway is:
 |
Easy to use and
operate, the two-wheeled Segway sports high-tech gyroscopes that
automatically respond to your body's movements, "sensing" when it
should speed up and slow down. |
 |
You stand on a small
platform between left and right wheels as you hold onto handlebars
at a comfortable waist height. The Segway handles the balancing
for you, so that you're always upright as you glide through any
environment. |
 |
Designed to operate in
any pedestrian environment. It's new, it's cool, safe and easy to
use, plus a ton of fun! The perfect way to see the Bay City. |
| |
|

Alternate "Run for the Palace" Tour Route:
On some evenings they will use a different route: The "Run for the Palace Route " is a journey Westward from the Wharf area towards the Golden Gate Bridge. The start of the route is the same as the "Waterfront Tour". The "Run for the Palace" route goes through the Marina District, past the Yacht Harbors, along the Marina Green and on to the Palace of Fine Arts.
There isn't a schedule for the nights they will run the Waterfront vs the Run for the Palace routes. Every tour makes numerous stops for photos.
As the world's first and only electric, self-balancing human transporter, the Segway has set a new standard for sightseeing fun! Experience for yourself why a Segway is the ideal way to sightsee and fun for everyone! Riding a Segway is relatively easy to learn. Each of the tours begins with a 30- 40 minute training session. You will practice on the Segways until everyone feels comfortable and ready to tour San Francisco!
