Join our team on an actual paranormal investigation of the Whaley House. Recognized as the most haunted house in America, tragedy continued to strike the Whaley family while living in the home, leading to an increase in reported paranormal activity. The eerie history of this historical landmark home, constructed on the grounds of the Old Town gallows, has only increased its notoriety amongst ghost hunters throughout the decades, visiting from all over the world. Explore the eerie lore of this San Diego treasure with our spine-chilling paranormal investigation team.
Before your investigation begins, our experienced guides will share their investigative techniques to prepare you for any strange and peculiar phenomena that you may encounter. Each guest will be provided with and trained to use an array of traditional and state-of-the-art ghost hunting equipment. We use a wide variety of tools of the trade to find evidence of ghosts and other supernatural beings. Any personal recording devices and/or paranormal equipment being brought on tour must be pre-approved by the lead investigator for that night.
TIP: Don’t forget to bring your cell phone. Your cell phone is an all-in-one ghost hunting tool. Not only is it great for capturing photographic evidence its audio recorder is almost professional grade and is great for capturing EVP, Electronic Voice Phenomenon.

Reservations are required. Please see the calendar for available tour times. Guests must check-in 20 minutes prior to tour time. Closed on July 4th, Christmas Eve and Christmas night.

This tour is not suitable for children, and you must be at least 13 yrs. to attend.

Please note that this experience requires going up and down stairs and traversing over uneven grounds. ADA access on the first floor. 24-hour notice is requested by calling 619-333-4020. The Paranormal Investigation will first meet at the Derby-Pendleton House before entering the Whaley House.
