The American Prohibition Museum located in Savannah's City Market, is the first and only one of it's kind in the United States.

The Museum offers state-of-the-art exhibits, immersive dioramas, rare historic memorabilia and artifacts, and even a 'Speakeasy'. It will cover the time period from when Georgia went dry in 1907 until Prohibition's national repeal in 1933. While here, guests will have the opportunity to experience life in America from the earliest rumblings of Temperance through the unintended consequences that the 13 years of Prohibition caused.

Through immersive displays and state-of-the-art dioramas, Museum goers will learn how Prohibition and Temperance shaped thinking and culture for more than two hundred years of American history.

    Old Town Trolley:
    Daily: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Final boarding at 5:00pm. Tours depart from boarding locations approx. every 20 minutes.
    The American Prohibition Museum:
    Operates Daily: 10:00am to 5:00pm with last admittance at 4:15pm.
    Guests of all ages are allowed in the museum during all operating hours, but photo ID is required at the door to receive a wristband for admittance to the Speakeasy. Guests under the age of 21 are not permitted in the Speakeasy. (Closed on St Patrick's Day).

    Reservation Notes:

    Only a reservation date is required for the Trolley. Times are not listed or needed. The Prohibition Museum can be used any day of operation.

    Age Requirements:

    Child Ticket: 4-12 yrs of age. Children 3 yrs of age and younger are free.

    Tours depart from boarding locations approx. every 20 minutes. Patrons with Tickets can board at any Old Town Trolley boarding location. Without an e-Ticket voucher or mobile ticket, you must go to the ticket booth location with invoice order number. Several trolley companies operate in Savannah. Make sure you board the ORANGE and GREEN trolley of Old Town Trolley Tours of Savannah.
